They have an expandable waistband with elastic and plenty of pockets, including large cargo pockets. The ripstop material is tough and durable, though some customers found that the snaps at the waist were poor quality and won't stay fastened. They are comfortable with good range of movement, and the sliding 2-piece waistband over elastic make it a very comfortable self-adjusting waistband. These pants are Teflon coated for durability, water-resistant, and come with a pretty sturdy zipper. Customers have reported a slightly inaccurate description with regards to knee pad slots and color. Some recommend buying used models for the same quality at a substantial discount.
