What stops the bee from just flying back out the hole like it does with the house?
Odpovědět: I'm not exactly sure but it looks like they can't climb up the sides of the glass jar (too slippery) and there's not enough room to fly in the jar. It's brilliant actually! They've been up three days and we've caught over ten bees! -

Odpovědět: It only attracts carpenter bees. Not beneficial honey bees. Once they are trapped they do die. -

I see online the suggestion to 'bait' the traps. Is this necessary and, if so, what kind of bait?
Odpovědět: It's not necessary to bait the trap, but if you have a dead bee in the jar, your chances of catching other bees is better. -

If it comes with bait, do I have to buy more? Can I use this from year to year?
Odpovědět: No bait is needed, but a dead bee will help. Yes, this can be used from year to year. -

How many holes are there for the bees to get in?
Odpovědět: There were 4 holes. I did not catch a single bee with this. A total waste of money.
