The Epson DS-80W Document Scanner is a wireless portable scanner that promises quality, convenience and portability. However, there are few flaws associated with the scanner according to customer feedback and experience. The scanner has a single sided scanning feature and an automatic feeding mode for multiple sides. It can scan long pages up to 72 inches, but may encounter errors with documents longer than 14 inches, especially receipts. The DPI resolution can be changed to ranges between 200 - 1200. The scanner fails for some users easily within 6 months of purchase and there are reports of the on/off button not working properly, although setup is said to be simple. Additionally, there are complaints that the OCR software does not work as expected. The device has to be charged after every use and does not hold a charge for long periods of time.
