The game's strategy and maneuvering components rely heavily on well-matched decks rather than simply luck and deck build, making it more interesting than the Collectible Card Game (CCG) genre. Once you get over the initial learning curve, the game is pretty quick and easy to play. However, the game includes flimsy cardboard poker chips. The set includes well-written and complete rulebooks and two playing mats that are a heavy cardboard type. Overall, Doomtown: Reloaded Base Set is a great game with high production values that comes with a captivating story.
