However, it is not waterproof, but that is not necessarily a deal-breaker for this type of shoe. The shoe sizes may run a bit larger than expected, so it is advisable to check the size before purchasing. The break-in period for these shoes may take longer, but once broken in they hold a good shine. The Goodyear welt construction makes it repairable; however, the stitching on the bottom of the shoe is going fast on some of them, although they can still be fixed. The shoe is heavy, and some customers have reported discomfort, numbness, and tingling in their feet after wearing them, which makes this shoe uncomfortable for some.
