Mothers Waxes 05644 Editorial Review
The Mothers 05644 California Gold Waterless Wash and Wax is a decent cleaning product, but falls short as a waxing product when compared to the Meguiars Waterless Wash and Wax. While it does a good job of washing, it requires an additional step of waxing for maximum shine and protection, unlike the Meguiars version. During a rain test, the Mothers product did not protect the vehicle from rain and left a lot of rain spots, requiring additional cleaning. In contrast, Meguiars provided superior protection from rain and dirt and added a superior level of wax, making the paint look better and keeping the vehicle cleaner for longer. Overall, while Mothers is a good cleaning product, it requires the extra step of waxing, which defeats the purpose of a "Wash and Wax". The winner in this comparison is Meguiars for its superior waxing and longer-lasting cleanliness.
