The wax can be used on actively leaking barrels, and the customer only needs to dry the outside of the barrel area that is leaking. They should then press a wax-soaked rag into the pores of the wood in that area and wipe off the excess with a rag. The wax will fill the pores and seal the area. The product has received mixed reviews from customers. Some were satisfied and said the wax worked perfectly and sealed the leaks. Others complained that they did not get much wax for the price and ran out before finishing the job. There were also some complaints about the size of the container and the fact that it was not bundled with the barrel.
