Although it is not flimsy, it is not indestructible and subject to damage from misuse. The newer model has an LCD backlighting and a higher ISO setting for cinematography, but the older model can still be used effectively for photography. The package comes with a long neck strap, black vinyl carrying pouch, and instructions. The display size on this product is somewhat small but is very clear.
