Cardinal Gates Door & Stair Gates MG15-BK Editorial Review
**** The Cardinal Gates Auto-Lock Gate emerges as a strong contender in the market for pet and child safety solutions, receiving a generally positive reception from customers who appreciate its sturdy design and functional versatility. Many users highlight the gate's effectiveness in managing access for both large dogs and young children, providing peace of mind to parents and pet owners alike. Installation tends to be the most significant challenge mentioned by users. While some found it straightforward once they understood the mechanics, others noted that adjustments—such as using their own screws and wall anchors—were necessary to ensure a secure fit. The gate features a double-sided opening mechanism, allowing for convenient access while preventing accidental slamming, which is a notable plus for households with toddlers or energetic pets. Once installed, the gate's heavy-duty Construction and solid latch design contribute to a reliable experience. Customers commend the seamless integration of the gate into their homes, especially around stairs where tripping hazards are a concern. The ability to lock the gate securely with an upward pull handle adds an extra layer of safety for young children. However, there are some reports of the gate becoming a bit squeaky over time, which, while not affecting its operation, could be bothersome to some users. Overall, the Cardinal Gates Auto-Lock Gate is being praised as a dependable choice, particularly for those who have faced disappointments with other models. Most would recommend it to others, and several are prepared to purchase additional units for different areas of their homes. **
