However, according to some reviews, the collar hole is only 2 7/8" ID and will not fit a 3" flagpole without enlarging the hole. Some customers were frustrated by this and wished the collar was a standard part of the flagpole kit. Despite these issues, many customers found the product easy to slip on and it made their flagpole installation look finished. Some even suggested adding screws to tighten the base around the flagpole.
