The Boss DR-01S Rhythm Partner is a great tool for musicians to have, whether for practice or live performances. While it does have a learning curve, the manual provides useful information. The device can be combined with a foot pedal for easier control during live performances. The sound quality is excellent and realistic. The device comes with an AC adapter, but AA batteries must be purchased separately if you want to use it on battery power. As for the FAQs, the device can work with electric guitars, but you may need to plug it into an amp for louder volumes. It can play most common time signatures and has a swing beat option. It does not have an input jack for instruments, only an 1/8th mp3 input. The tempo setting is not stored when saving a favorite memory. It does come with a power source, a robust AC adapter. It does not have a bluegrass base sound. The reviews are mostly positive, with users praising the device's ease of use, sound quality, and versatility. One user recommends getting the FS-6 pedal for live performances. Another recommends getting an adapter if the package comes with a European one.
