atp automotive Speedometer Cables Editorial Review
The ATP Y-819 Speedometer Cable is a product designed to perform in a variety of trucks including 1968 Dodge Charger & 70 Dart, 1990 Mazda B2600i 4x4 and 73 Duster 904 trans. It is an affordable alternative to expensive OEM cables. It is 80 inches in length and features a 7/8 inch nut diameter. Some customers faced compatibility issues with the product and had to zip-tie it. Others had issues with length. The grommet on it is missing, which creates wind noise. The product is made in China, which caused some customers to express disappointment. The fact that the cable is too long creates problems in routing, mainly with it being too close to exhaust in the engine bay. Overall, this is a quality product with a few significant flaws that could be overlooked if they fit the customer's specific vehicle.
