The Peavy 15" Low Rider is a subwoofer with a good design, but cheap parts in manufacturing have made it unusable. The cause for the low score on usability is the noise caused by using cheap glue in manufacturing: as little as 1 mm cone movement causes a clicking noise. The woofer material feels flimsy and too stiff, lacking when given much power, and tends to flap. However, the speaker sounds good at lower volumes, has a lot of kick, and a decent low end. The tinsel leads actually broke on one of the speakers and tend to be more of a problem with the 15s than the 18s. Additionally, they are a bit expensive compared to other products with better build quality, perform better, and can handle the same amount of power and have higher sensitivity.
