- Seeing the approach that foods can have medical effects on the human organism over time in Hippocrates' words, Let food be your medicine, let your medicine be your food it is possible. However, in this time, it is becoming difficult to access healthy food for various reasons such as increasing environmental pollution and harmful pesticides used in agricultural production, and we cannot provide some of the beneficial substances we need just by nutrition. This book is incorrect for expressing many products, from isolated ingredients to processed foods, from functional foods to herbal products and food supplements by defining the term nutraceutical used in this way as obtaining the effective substances found in foods in pure form and presenting them in drug form, we have prepared an easy-to-understand guide on these products to all healthcare professionals, especially physicians and pharmacists, and society, to which information based on public health and scientific literature is conveyed in simple language.
