  • RUDBECKIA IRISH SPRING SEEDS: Rich golden blooms are highlighted by prominent green central cones. Beautiful in mixed borders and for cut flower displays. Usually grown as an annual.
  • SOW: February to May, FLOWERS: July to October, HEIGHT: 75cm, PREFERS: Full Sun, SEEDS: 50 Approx.
  • FOR INDOOR SOWING: WHEN – February to April. WHERE – In trays of seed compost. HOW - Sow thinly, cover lightly with a fine layer of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover tray with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep at approx. 15-20C. Seedlings appear 14-21 days.
  • CARE - Remove cover when seedlings appear. When large enough transplant 5cm apart in trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to outside conditions from late May onwards (avoid frosts). Transplant 30cm apart in flowering position. Keep moist and weed free.
  • FOR OUTDOOR SOWING: WHEN - April to May. WHERE – In a prepared seed bed in flowering position. HOW - Sow thinly in rows 30cm apart. Cover lightly with fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist. CARE - When large enough to handle, thin to 30cm apart. FLOWERS – August to October. Remove dead heads to prolong flowering.
